Los Angeles-based architect and artist Mike Nesbit recently chose to use ARCIS precast panels – but not in their usual way. This article from the Omaha World-Herald details Nesbit’s use of ARCIS panels, not in construction, but as canvasses, for his art pop-up show called “Flood.” The panels, the largest of which measured 9 feet by 12 feet and weighed roughly 2,300 pounds, were “flooded” with black basement sealant products. The unconventionality of his canvas, he said, served to deliver something unexpected. This one-night-only, one-of-a-kind exhibition took place in the Standard Oil Building in Omaha, Neb.
